Secretary

JuPong Lin is an interdisciplinary artist-researcher, writer/poet and educator committed to anti-colonial organizing for land and food sovereignty, currently based in Western Massachusetts. JuPong advised as a faculty member in the MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts (MFAIA) program from 2005-2024 and led the program in developing an initiative in decolonial arts praxis. Her poetry is published in Dark Matter Women Witnessing; and Honoring Nature (2021) and Honoring Nature (2021) as a poet-in-residence of the Hilltown Land Trust and the Kestrel Land Trust of the Writing the Land project. JuPong has served on the Board of the start-up Common Share Food Co-op grocery store in Amherst, MA and is currently the Community Coordinator for the Hampshire County Food Policy Council, an organization that advocates for transforming the food system. She is a core member of the Land Justice Affinity Group, a partner of Visioning B.E.A.R. Circle Intertribal Coalition. JuPong has an MFA in Intermedia from the University of Iowa and is a PhD candidate in the Environmental Studies program at Antioch University New England. JuPong taught at The Evergreen State College for 7 years, in media studies, international feminism, cross-cultural storytelling, and education; and has published essays on ecocriticism and contemplative pedagogy in journals and book projects.
